Team Leader Assembly

Lead the (sub)assembly and testing process of our Laser Beam Delivery module

ALSI is the inventor of the multibeam laser dicing process for semiconductor material and innovator of laser processing equipment. Laser and optics form the heart of the equipment and is therefore a core competence of ALSI. For (sub)assembly and testing of this critical and highly innovative module of our Laser 1205 system we are looking for a Team Leader Assembly.

The Team Leader Assembly is the specialist in running an efficient and effective assembly team. He/she is responsible for leading the assembly and test engineers, the planning and preparation of the material and workforce, the execution and steering of set goals/targets and the tracking of the performance. This position is a fulltime position.

Overall Responsiblities

  • Further (in detail) setting up of the assembly activities (including repair work)
  • Translate the demand on end products in an availability plan for both material and manpower
  • Working together with Purchasing and Logistics to have the necessary materials available in time
  • Coordinates/leads the assembly and repair activities
  • Ensures and secures the quality and quantity of the end product (using SPC, in line test/checks, end of the line testing, etc)
  • Working together with Quality to prepare for ISO9001 certification
  • Delivers timely reporting on KPIs to management
  • Leads a team of 3-4 FTE
  • Will assist in the operational activities where necessary and is therefore able to gain basic to detailed knowledge about the assembly process and activities in general
  • Is responsible for the setup, maintenance and quality of the assembly environment
  • Working together with Engineering department to introduce new designs smoothly

Required skills and specifications

  • At minimum a Bachelor degree in one of the following areas: (Opto)Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Preferably profound knowledge of laser application and optics
  • 5-10 years of working experience with leading and coordinating people in an assembly or production environment
  • Profound knowledge of Logistics and Material Handling
  • Working knowledge of 5s and relate visual aids for communication and housekeeping
  • Experience with SAP R3 for Production Purposes
  • Knowledgeable/experience with MS Office
  • Independent and taking initiative to set improvements in motion
  • High level of Service mindedness (internal and external)
  • Quality driven, not settling for less than 100%
  • Safety first mentality, experienced in safety engineering
